Ergotherapy (= occupational therapy) is applied to treat disorders of motor functions, sensory organs as well as mental and cognitive faculties in patients and disabled people of all age groups. Ergotherapists practice with patients (depending on the existing deficits) how to eat, wash, get dressed, write, interact with others, cope with stress at the workplace, etc. The goal is to achieve maximum independence in everyday private and professional life.
