Dr. Dirk Last has already been working at Klinikum Landkreis Erding since the beginning of 1996. Initially, he worked for many years as senior house officer at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department under the direction of Prof. Dr. Bernd-Josef Klose, where he also completed his specialty training and obtained board certification as gynaecologist. In 2003, he moved on to the hospital’s Medical Controlling, which he was later put in charge of. Parallel to his professional responsibilities, he obtained another degree in health economics in 2007. In May 2010, Dr. Last was appointed as director of Medical Processes, followed by a promotion to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in July 2013. Since 10th of July, he is CEO of Klinikum Landkreis Erding.

PD Dr. Bott-Flügel, who has been working at Klinikum Landkreis Erding since the end of 2010 and has been chief consultant since 1 January 2014, discovered his enthusiasm for medicine during his civilian service at Malteser Hilfsdienst Traunstein, where he had also spent his youth and schooldays. He then found his way to Munich, where he worked at the Red Cross for some time before starting his studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Following several stays abroad in Great Britain and India, he obtained his doctorate and started working at Klinikum rechts der Isar and the German Heart Centre Munich under the direction of Prof. Schömig. During the last few years, PD Dr. Bott-Flügel has not only worked as consultant at the Cardiology and Angiology Departments but also at the interdisciplinary Vascular Centre of Klinikum rechts der Isar.
