Overview of services offered in Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Medicine

The Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Medicine Department of Klinik Dorfen takes care of patients who suffer from malignant diseases of the following organs:

  • Blood and bone marrow (e.g. acute and chronic leukaemia)
  • Mammary glands (mammary carcinomas)
  • Entire gastrointestinal tract (e.g. gastric, pancreatic or intestinal carcinomas)
  • Respiratory organs (e.g. lung carcinomas)
  • Lymph nodes (e.g. malignant lymphomas)
  • Urinary system (e.g. renal or bladder carcinomas)
  • Brain (e.g. cerebral tumors)
  • Connective tissue (e.g. soft-tissue sarcomas)

In cooperation with Klinikum Erding, Klinik Dorfen offers the following diagnostic services:

  • Computed tomography
  • Magnetic resonance imaging
  • Esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, enteroscopy and coloscopy
  • Skeletal scintigraphy
  • Laparoscopy

The range of treatment options offered at the Hematology and Oncology Department comprises:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Molecular therapy
  • Transfusion medicine
  • Pain therapy
  • Supportive therapy (nutrition, remedial gymnastics)
